MAGIC STRAWBERRY SOUND is a South Korean independent label specializing in a diverse range of music and artists. Committed to fostering a creative environment, the label places a strong emphasis on respecting artistic freedom, defining such moments as “magical.”

My rebrand strategy enhances its visual identity to fully reflect the brand’s personality by showcasing the authentic experience of unfiltered artistry and creativity.

Key Insights

I aimed to showcase the brand’s diversity and creativity by incorporating a rich variety of textures and a dynamic color palette. While preserving the energetic “magic” of the brand, my goal was to establish a cohesive visual language.

Logo

The logo is inspired by reflections on a record, which rotates into a disc-shaped design.

Color Palette

The primary color palette is a subtle twist on classic black and white, representing a blank slate where limitless possibilities unfold within Magic Strawberry Sound.

The secondary palette introduces a vibrant range of colors, reflecting the label’s diversity and versatility in sound.

Typography & Tagline

I selected Power Grotesk to reflect the label’s dynamic sound and complement the logo. Fracktif is used alongside the primary typeface to highlight secondary elements within the system.

The tagline, "One Genre: Limitless Magic," signifies the unification of all music genres under one defining identity: Magic.

Brand Elements

The brand texture is composed of simple shapes that connect and overlap to create an unique visual language, symbolizing the fusion of diverse music genres that come together to form a magical moment.

Brand textures and color palettes reflect the brand's limitless creativity. The identity poster series highlights the tagline, "One Genre: Limitless Genre.”
